kansas city report
We had another excellent weekend in Kansas City – number nine in our eleven cities this spring. Our hosts there – Youthfront and Jacob’s Well – were a delight to work with, and the people who participated in the event were a joy. I also had the pleasure of staying over and speaking at Jacob’s Well, now on my “if I ever move to that city I’ll be part of that church” list.
The only downside was that Tracy, our worship leader, got rushed to the hospital a couple of times. She amazed everyone by coming back from the emergency room to lead our last session on Saturday, and at last report, it looks good for her to be with us in the Bronx this weekend and Goshen the next.
Our little DeepShift team had a couple of meals together over the weekend and we all said, “This is one of the best teams of people (or maybe the very best) I’ve ever worked with.” One of life’s best pleasures is doing important and good work with a cohesive, gifted, and passionate group of people – and it’s even better when they all enjoy lots of laughter together.
Hey, if you live in the Northeast … why not sign up for the Bronx this weekend, or if you live in the Midwest … why not join us in Goshen?
