On Saturday, February 15, 2026 at 3 pm, Brian will speak at the 2026 Interfaith Shared Scholar Lecture, held at SANIBEL CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST.
WHERE FAITH-INSPIRED ACTION COULD TAKE US
When we are inspired by faith, we live in hope – and we express that faith and hope in loving
action. We ask questions such as these: What kind of world are we working toward? and What is
our vision of a desired future? Our vision of the future can be limited by many factors, including
misguided theologies, rigid economic ideologies, and complacent thinking. In this session led by
author and activist Brian D. McLaren, we will explore a future beyond these limitations, giving
shape to an engaging vision that can both inspire and guide us toward faith-inspired action.
