A reader writes: Crying on the porch …

I am praying that this message finds you and your family well, safe, and as inspired as I am by your work!I am sitting on my porch, finishing “Faith After Doubt” (we are doing a book group beginning next week) – openly weeping as I receive your Afterword and your own beautiful experience of moving from belief to faith. I have been so excited by the whole of it, as I have personally and professionally connected to it all – chapter by chapter and step by step. But the closing invitation cracked open an even deeper call to be a part of the transformation of which you write; and offered the inspiration to keep on the path. Thank you.I am always deeply moved by your work, your writing, your insights, your investment in the world. But this… it… whew… indescribable.I just needed to tell you – Yes. Bless. Thank you! God is surely so so happy for your presence in it. I sure am. Dude, you are the bomb!
Thanks for these encouraging words, and thanks to all who write, tweet, and otherwise contact me. As someone who also receives a bit of hate-mail and critique, it’s especially meaningful to receive sincere encouragement like this. Especially when this is the first time I think I’ve ever been called “the bomb” – in a good way!
